With satellites and man-carrying rockets constantly being launched into outer space, there are an ever increasing number of people on Earth who are wondering about travelling to other galaxies and visiting planets in other solar systems in the future. As technology in space increases, technology back here on earth increases, albeit at a more down-to-earth rate!..Such as the branded usb stick.
However, because of the vast distances and time needed to make these journeys, we humans will have to discover a new, as yet unknown, means of transport to travel through outer space to these far-flung worlds. Another mode of transport seems out of the question at the present time when one considers Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, as this theory states that it is impossible for anyone to travel faster than the speed of light.
Since man first went into outer space, the furthest distance that humans have been able to explore is just beyond our own solar system, approximately 6.5 billion miles away. For that particular space voyage, NASA launched the Pioneer 10 and Voyager 1 in the 1970s, and because of the time taken to cover that distance, those space probes have since outlived their usefulness. There are many scientists who are now investigating other alternative means of space travel, but with our current understanding of science, it might not be possible to break the known laws of physics.
